Molcho, Joseph


Son of Avraham and Aliza. Born in the city of Barcelona, ​​Spain, on August 12, 1940. Joseph studied in an elementary school in his homeland, and his family immigrated to Israel in 1949, and Yosef completed his elementary studies in Israel. He was a high school (professional) and specialized in the printing industry and began working in a large printing press in Haifa, and he was naturally cheerful and his friends loved him – not only for his diligence in work but also for his romantic spirit when he sang romances and lions during work. He was drafted into the IDF in May 1960. After that, he was called up for reserve duty. It was also on the eve of the Six-Day War, which on the fifth day of its battles, on the 9th of Sivan 5727 (June 9, 1967), fell in battle on Tel-Farh as a machine gunner in the half-track. Was one of those who broke into the Syrian enemy. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery and was later transferred to the eternal rest of the military cemetery in Haifa. His name was immortalized in the book “Our Division”.
