Moalem, Moshe
Son of Menashe and a wedding. He was born in Iraq in 1935. He graduated from elementary school there before the family immigrated to Israel in 1951. In Israel, he attended evening classes at the Nes Tziona School. He was a sports fan. Worked in a waste paper factory. He was drafted into the IDF in September 1953. He later went on to reserve duty, participated in the Sinai Campaign, continued to serve in the reserves all the years and even before the Six-Day War, and on the fourth day of his battles, 1967.) fell about fifteen kilometers west of Bir-Gafgafa, in Sinai, when his half-track was hit in an attack on the battalion’s night camp. He left a wife and two children and the youngest of them did not complete a year. He was laid to rest at the military emergency cemetery in Bari and was later transferred to the eternal rest of the military cemetery in Netanya. His name was immortalized in the booklet “On Your Platforms of Space” issued by the unit in which he served. In the booklet “The eternal glory of the sons of Netanya who fell on their watch” his name was immortalized.
