Mizrachi, David
Son of Esther and Jacob, was born on January 1, 1927 in Rishon Letzion. He studied there in elementary school, worked in the garage as a mechanic and helped his parents. When he was about 15, he joined the Haganah and devoted the best of his time to his dedication and enthusiasm. In -1.2.1948 enlisted in the war of Independence, served in the “Givati” and fought in the village of Uriah, the raid on the headquarters of Hassan Salameh, rishpon, Tel Arish and more. Around Beit Dagon, he was engaged in planting mines. Even during the most difficult hours of battle, he knew how to take care of his comrades-in-arms and help them, so they respected him and loved him very much. In -14.5.1948 at 9c in the morning, the British left the biggest military camp Sarafand (Zerifin) and is captured by Arab forces from Ramla, from Hassan Salameh. As soon as they took control of the camp, the Arabs began to fire at nearby Rishon Lezion. When informed of this, David, born in the colony, not peace, stood before the commander requested permission to participate in the Zerifin. On T Iyar (18/05/1948) out with the group breaking Rishon Letzion at 2c am arrived to the camp fence. When he discovered just 40 meters from an enemy position, opened fire and battle flared up wounded in the leg. After a few moments, recovered and progressed until sold out troops. when he came to his help, asking them to continue the occupation of the camp and he was left lying about an hour until the first aid. transfusion of blood made him again to no avail and after losing a lot of blood lost strength, and died. his remains were laid-rest at the military cemetery in Rishon Lezion
