Son of Gershon and Tzerna. Was born on February 4, 1945 in Kfar Saba – and the days were the days of the end of the Second World War when the people in the Diaspora fought for its physical existence and the people living in Zion fought for their national rights. In those days, when Avinoam was a child, the child absorbed the atmosphere of national consciousness that existed in Kfar Saba, which was in the defense systems and was silent in agricultural life. He completed his elementary studies there at the Ussishkin School, continued his studies at the ORT vocational school, and when he did not find his satisfaction, he went to study bookkeeping in Tel Aviv. He was a member of the Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed youth movement. When he completed his studies, he went to a young hachshara in Kibbutz Yiftah in the Upper Galilee so that he could join his friends when he was drafted into the IDF. He loved to play with the farm’s children, and when he arrived in Israel in July 1963, he served in the Nachal unit together with (“Snir”), went through all the training stages and then completed a mortar course and advanced training and then joined the army service He received his agricultural training as an employee in the banana groves and when he arrived at the settlement in Grofit, which was in the Arava, the shopping center there. In this role he succeeded very much because he demanded contact with many different people and in doing so required patience and patience – qualities that were in Avinoam. When the military training period was over, he reached the resting place in Kibbutz Yiftach, which he so loved and became a member of the kibbutz. In his work there, he showed dedication, willingness to help in any position, and his attitude toward friends who worked in subordination. He was by nature timid, but over time he stood out for his good and quiet character. He was sentimental and encouraged to encourage his parents, who worried and missed him. When the tension on the borders before the Six Day War reached its peak, Avinoam was called to the flag in the Paratroopers Brigade and in the battle for the liberation of Old Jerusalem he was wounded; It was on the second day of the battles, and six days later, on the eve of the 5th of Sivan 5727 (June 12, 1967), he died of his wounds and was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Kfar Saba, On their way, “which was published by the Union of Kibbutzim and Kibbutzim in memory of the fallen members of the European Union, was also quoted from the members of the Paratroopers Command.
