Mikmal, Menashe (Fuad)


Son of Yosef and Hila. He was born in Baghdad in December 1933. He immigrated to Israel in 1950. In 1956 he took part in the Sinai Campaign in the occupation of Rafiah posts and at the end of 1958 he took part in a course for paramedics. He was highly respected in this position, and his commander recommended his promotion. In 1967 he participated in the Six-Day War. He took part in the Yom Kippur War and dealt with the wounded in the war at Beit Goldmint in Netanya. He was then transferred to Beit Nissan where he spent eight months treating and rehabilitating victims of combat shock – all voluntarily. On the 11th of Tishrei 5737 (October 5, 1976) Menashe fell during his service. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Petah Tikva. He left behind a wife, a daughter and a son, brothers and sisters.
