Meridor, Amos (“Ami”)


Son of Yochanan and Sarah. He was born on May 8, 1948. He began studying in an elementary school in Tiberias and completed his studies at the Kishon Elementary School in Haifa, where he studied at the Hugim High School. He was a member of the “Yahav” Nahal Brigade and during 1964 (1965) he worked in Haifa in “Solel Boneh”. In the farms were Ifat and Alumot. He tended to write songs and loved playing the guitar. He was drafted into the IDF in January 1966. On 13 February 1967, he died and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. His uncle, Naftali Zilber, fell in the War of Independence. Avi Amos collected and published a book called “Naftuli Ami” in memory of his son Amos and his uncle, Naftali Zilber.
