Ben Reckta and Eliyahu. Was born in 1947 in Egypt, and when he was three, he immigrated to Israel with his family. The family settled in Bat-Yam Yitzhak was drafted into the IDF in mid-February 1965 and volunteered for the Armored Corps, where he was trained as a combat soldier and his unit took part in the Six-Day War. When his time came to be released, his behavior was described as very good, and his commanders’ assessment was that he had done his job properly. In mid-August 1967, Yitzhak was released from regular service. He was assigned to the engineering corps, underwent a course of retraining and was sent as a reservist to an IAF unit, where he was promoted to the rank of corporal, and in his civilian life Yitzhak worked as a taxi driver and a diamond polisher.
