Meir, Yosef-Moshe-Binyamin (Yossi)

Son of Shraga and Hava. Born on 6 October 1948 in Windsheim, Germany, his family immigrated to Israel in 1949 and Yosef was then nine years old, and when he reached school age he began to study at the “Yavneh” elementary school in Netanya and when he completed his studies he continued his studies He was a member of the Paratroopers Brigade and was a loyal soldier to his commander and loved by all his comrades-in-arms. However, on 20.3.1968 he fell while carrying out his duties when Yosef-Moshe-Binyamin was in an IDF operation against the bases of the Jordanian terrorists who were concentrated east of the Jordan in the town from which the enemy saboteurs went to Israel. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya. On the second anniversary of his death, a book appeared in his memory, including the words of parents, educators, teachers and friends. It is interesting to note that there are also Torah novellae of Yossi while he was studying in Yeshivah (see above) and also of his friends who wrote in his memory.
