Manusewitz, Moshe (Manus)

Son of Micha and Father, was born on the 17th of Kislev 5727 (17.11.1926) in the city of Kozin, Poland. Until the arrival of the German invaders he attended elementary school and as a boy he managed to join the partisans. Moshe fought on Polish soil and Russia until the liberation. On 19.5.1946 he immigrated to Israel. His partisan past prepared him to be active in the struggle against the British. He was a hard-faced, serious and alert young man, but in his Lev and in his looks-the innocence of youth. Moshe served in the “Kiryati” Brigade and participated in the defense of the Neve Shalom neighborhood opposite Jaffa, where he fell on the 29th of Adar 2, 5708 (March 29, 1948). He was laid to rest in the military cemetery at Nahalat Yitzhak.
