Lipner (Lipiner), Bezalel


He was born in 1910 in Galicia and immigrated to Eretz Yisrael in 1933. He was an active member of Betar and of the National Workers Union. With the outbreak of World War II he was one of the first enlistees to join the British army and was assigned to the air force. In the summer of 1943 he fell in Sicily in the course of his duties, and his memory was immortalized in the periodical “Kanafot” and “The Flag.” An investigation conducted in 2017 found that the date of his death was 11/08/1943, Unit- cRoyalcAircForcecVolunteercReserve.
