Lewkowicz, Menachem


Son of Zvi and Mina. He was born in Tralburg, Sweden, in 1947. In 1949, the family immigrated to Israel and Menahem was two years old and graduated from Bialik Elementary School, and later attended the ” R. Kugel in the Holon. He was a member of the “HaPoel” Association and was an outstanding athlete. He loved literature and also dealt with ornamental objects. Finally, he became the center of the “Erez” nucleus in Malkia and an annex to the kibbutz. In January 1965, he was drafted into the IDF and served in the Nahal Brigade, but about nine months later, on 9.6.1965, he died and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
