Levin, Avraham


Son of Pesia and Eliezer, was born on the 28th of Shevat, February 12, 1907, in Poland. He immigrated to Israel in 1925. He worked as an agricultural laborer in various places and often suffered from lack of work. He was a veteran member of the Haganah, participated in its various activities and held trustworthy guard duties. He was a good friend. Avraham was very devoted to his family and did not spare any effort for them. His fierce love of the land remained. With the outbreak of the War of Independence he enlisted to guard the outposts and after days of hard and arduous work, he spent his nights fulfilling many tasks. Avraham lost his life in a traffic accident near Tivon on 15 Elul, September 19, 1948. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in Kiryat Amal.
