Levi, Avraham (Arnon)


Born in Jerusalem on June 16, 1929. He loved to work, and after graduating from elementary school, he began to study plumbing, and in a short time he excelled in his work and got lots of jobs and everyone was satisfied with his work. he was a good-looking boy and everyone loved him. He enlisted in the defense of Jerusalem and was sent to Neve Ya’akov. Where he completed his military training and served in guarding the road to Jerusalem from the north. After a few weeks he returned to Jerusalem and was transferred to one of the Palmach battalions and participated in operations around Kiryat Anavim, in the battles for Nebi Samuel, the Radar, etc. He had a courage and initiative that caused a personal dispute between him and his unit commander. He joined the Lehi forces and took part in their battles, and he went to the Ein Kerem settlement with them, and his friends saw him on Tuesday, 10 July 1948, in aiding a wounded friend. After three days, when our forces were based in Ein Karem, his body was found and brought to burial in Sheikh . On the 17th of Elul 5706 (August 30, 1950), he was transferred to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
