Levi, Aryeh


Son of Moshe and Sarah. He was born on October 5, 1936, in Jerusalem. He graduated from the elementary school for boys in Jerusalem. Belonged to “Hashomer Hatza’ir” and when he heard about the organization of a youth company in Kibbutz Ein Dor, he joined it and stayed there for five years. He was one of the first members of the Tavor group, where he was well absorbed in the metalwork shop. He was one of the first to enlist in the IDF in January 1955. He was one of the core representatives of the course. On the 19th of Cheshvan, November 4, 1955, in the battle of Nitzana, he was wounded and died of his wounds. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. A booklet in his memory was published by Kibbutz Ein Dor. His memory was mentioned in Uri Milstein’s book, “The Paratroop Wars.”
