Levi , Aharon


Son of Pache and Yehia was born in the city of Mas’ud, Yemen. His mother died when he was a child, and his stepmother tormented him. When he was 15, he fled the house and walked a long way to get to Israel. After the agony of hunger and thirst, he arrived on the 19th of Av 5704 for the Avraham group near Kfar Pines. He was a member of the Gadna Brigade in Karkur, and saw his greatness as a great privilege to himself, and he spoke with concern about the situation of the Jews in Yemen, who was modest and honest. He has a house in the Yemenite neighborhood of Neve Ephraim in Karkur. Two months later he joined the army and served in the 7th Brigade, fulfilling every position assigned to him. He took part in the battles in Latrun and was proud of his service as a Jewish soldier and dreamed of opening the road to Jerusalem. Aharon fell in the Beit Sussen outpost on the 9th of June 1948. He was buried in Na’an and was followed by a wife – Shoshana On Monday, 18.5.1950, he was laid to rest in the military cemetery at Har- Herzl in Jerusalem.
