Kopito, Shmuel (Shmulik, Molik)


Son of Pesia and Simcha, was born on 20.10.1924 in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, and when he was one year old his parents immigrated to Israel and settled in Kfar Hassidim, where he worked in agriculture and specialized in mechanics. On March 27, 1948, the convoy left Nahariya on 27 March 1948 with seven vehicles and 90 people to transport supplies, fortifications and reinforcements to Yiham. Near Kabri, the convoy encountered an Arab ambush. Half of them fell in battle, Shmuel among them. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Nahariya.
