Kobi, Michael (Machloof )
Michael, son of Zohara and Meir Kobi, was born in 1923 in the city of Meknes, Morocco. On July 15, 1935, he immigrated to Israel and settled with his family in Jerusalem. During the War of Independence, he served in the Jerusalem Brigade and in the defense of the city’s suburbs until he fell in battle for Ramat Rachel on May 26, 1948. He was buried in Sheik-Bader Aleph in Jerusalem. On the 28th of Elul 5710 (10.9.1950) he was put to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
