Towards the end of his regular service, he was transferred to the Shimshon Ordnance Ordnance Base where he served in the Optronics Department. Upon his discharge from the IDF, he began working at a factory in Kiryat Shmona, and returned to Tel Hai College to study for a bachelor’s degree in computer science.Igor was a kind man and his characteristic was his tendency to help others, Perach “to help children with problems. On the 17th of Tishrei 5761 (October 17, 2001), he was killed during his service in a car accident that took place in Kibbutz Kadarim, while he was on his way home to the family, and was brought to eternal rest in the military section of the Karmiel cemetery.
