Kaplan, Chaim


Chaim, son of Deborah and Ze’ev (Wolf), a Holocaust survivor, was born on March 22, 1947 in Bergen-Belsen, Germany, and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1948. During the Yom Kippur War, Chaim was commander of a tank division that fought in the central sector of the Suez Canal in Sinai. On the 30th of Tishrei 5734 (26.10.1973) he fell in the line of duty and was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Kiryat Shaul, leaving behind a wife, parents and brother, and his daughter, Tal-Chaim, was born at the height of the war.
