Kamin (Kaminsky), Yitzhak (Theodor)
He was born in 1901 in St. Louis, United States. His father purchased a plot of land in the village of Poriya in the Lower Galilee. In 1920, Yitzhak immigrated with his father and a group of other Americans who also bought land in Poriah to work their land. There were pogroms and rioting in the Galilee and the Arabs attacked many Jewish settlements. A month after arriving in Poriah, Yitzhak , in protecting the settlers, he was attacked by rioters. On 21 Nisan, April 21, 1920, he was killed in an accident. He left a father who returned heartbroken to the United States. The circumstances of the incident and the description of its fall are mentioned in the book “Settlement in the Lower Galilee”.
