Kaddari (Tartarine), Bezalel (Tzali)


Son of Sarah and Abraham, was born on October 3, 1913, in the city of Odessa, Russia, where he moved to Kishinev, where he studied at the Gymnasium and joined the Hashomer Hatzair movement. He immigrated to Israel with a group that immigrated to Israel on foot through the many borders, and at the age of 21. At first he worked as a gardener, agricultural laborer, as a guard in the citrus orchards of Tel Mond and his nurseries, and during that time he acquired experience in agronomy and horticulture. On behalf of the Aggaria company, first in Kfar Saba and then in Kfar Shmaryahu, and during his years in Israel he was active in Haganah, Kfar Saba and Ramat Gan, The life of the country wholeheartedly. With the outbreak of the War of Independence was attached to the IDF General Staff, worked through on treating border settlements and did his job faithfully and conscientiously. During his days of service he was attacked by a malignant disease and died of his illness shortly thereafter, on the 24th of Tishrei, 24.10.1948. He was laid to rest in the Kfar Saba military cemetery. He left behind a wife, Hannah, and a daughter.
