Son of Naomi and Sayid. He was born on 28.5.1966 in Rosh HaAyin, studied at the Yesod HaTorah elementary school in Rosh Ha’Ayin, continued at the Nahalim military boarding school and at the Neve Amiel boarding school in Haifa, and Yair’s parents suffered from financial difficulties before being drafted into the army Yair went to work, in order to help support the house. At the beginning of July 1984, Yair was drafted into the IDF and was transferred to a transport base to serve as a driver in the Ordnance Corps, according to his commanding officer at the transport base. He served as a driver for the Israel Defense Forces, and during the entire period of his service Yair took care of his family, and one of his brothers served as a regular soldier in the IDF and was unable to help the parents. At his request, Yair received a special permit to go to civilian work for pay. At the same time, he continued to carry out all his duties in the unit. Yair died in a traffic accident on the eve of the eighth candle of Hanukkah, according to his commander: “An accident was extinguished by Yair’s candle.” He was brought to eternal rest in the military section of the Rosh Ha’ayin cemetery And his three brothers, Zechariah, Eli, and Ilan, wrote in a letter of condolence to the bereaved family: “Yair was a loyal friend and liked all his acquaintances. Every task he was assigned was performed willingly and lovingly “
