Issami, Saleh


Son of Zidan and Nora. He was born on December 2, 1948 in Daliyat al-Carmel. When he reached school, he attended elementary school in the village and later went to work to support his older parents. Worked in excavation work and also helped his parents in running the restaurant. He belonged to the “Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed” club. In November 1966 he was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces, and when the war broke out he was killed on August 1, 1967. He was buried in his village and was transferred to an eternal rest on July 1, The military cemetery in Isfiya, the commander eulogized him at the open grave during the funeral procession that took place the next day, fell, among other things, he said: “We know very well that there is no war without sacrifices. The war we are waging is a war of peace. But until peace comes, we must continue to defend this country. “On the authority of Salah, the commander said that his name would be included in the list of heroes who sacrificed their lives for Israel, and his name and memory were commemorated among the other Druze fighters in the book” Covenant of Blood “by Musabah Halabi.
