Nadav would appear on flights even beyond what was required of him. He knew that we needed him, so he would stand up at any difficult moment-and there were many. Nadav was one of the volunteers, and before each operation he asked me to remember him for the best and prepare the list of pilots and he would prove to me why he deserves to participate more than others. Not only was he a pilot, he also planned and built various technical tools. “In a letter of appreciation to his mother, which was sent after the fall of Nadav, Nadav’s contribution to optimization was praised. For the construction of a particular machine and in a letter signed by the Chairman of the Central Committee for Optimization Proposals, it is written: “The proposal was examined by the appropriate elements in the IDF who trusted it as a contribution of importance to the Israeli Air Force. The Committee decided, therefore, to grant you this letter of appreciation and a token monetary reward of 1,000 Israeli Pounds, and may not add any sorrow or pain. Ayelet Hashahar, published on March 6, 1970, was dedicated to the memory of Nadav. “You were always looking for the short way, which will be the right one, and when you found it, you would not be deterred from trying it out and fulfilling it, so the danger would accompany you in life, you were never ready to get anything right from Sinai and you were ready to go to battle for principles and opinions that you thought And I know well – even though you used to disparage words like justice and morality – because it was your moral sensitivity that pushed youYou have always loved to hear a verse originally from the Bible or a Yaffa story from the legend: your love for them came to you from your father, who was able to plant His sons have a love and a connection to the culture of Israel. “
