Herman, Avraham-Menachem


Son of Zvi and Chaya. He was born on May 23, 1932 in Tel Aviv. After completing his studies at the “Kol Israel Haverim” school, he continued to study at the Montefiore vocational school. He belonged to the Hapoel soccer team in Ramat Gan. He belonged to the Gadna, but in 1948, when he was 16 years old, he left his parents’ home and joined the kibbutzim and joined kibbutz hachshara: In the first period he was in Mishmar Hanegev and in the second he moved to Ma’oz Hayim. Nachal gave his service in Nirim, and after a few months joined the Haggbarim, and after a few months left the group and completed his army service. At the age of 23, he worked at the Dead Sea Works in Sodom, but after a short time moved with his family to the village of Batsra and for two years helped work in his parents’ farm until finally he went to work in the Egged garage in Kfar Saba. (12.2.1963), when he was in reserve duty, fell while fulfilling his duties and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
