Hayoun, Aharon-Meir (“Armo”)


Son of Victor and Victoria. He was born on the 26th of Adar II 5708 (26.3.1948) in Ariana, Tunisia. In 1951 the family immigrated to Israel with him. When he reached school age, he began to attend elementary school and completed his studies there. At the outbreak of the Six-Day War, he volunteered to help the government hospital in Be’er Sheva, but was drafted into the army in August 1967. But he was still in compulsory service when he completed his duties on July 30, 1968. He was a quiet soldier who excelled in performing his duties as best as the commander of his company wrote to his family in a letter of condolence after they fell. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in Be’er Sheva
