Hasson, Mordechai (Moti)


Ben Sarah and Amnon Avraham. He was born on July 31, 1970 in Jerusalem. He studied at the Neve Ya’akov State Primary School in his hometown and completed high school at ORT College near the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He was a diligent student and excelled in the electronics profession. He was a member of the Scout Movement and the Society for the Protection of Nature in Jerusalem. He volunteered for the Civil Guard and devoted his spare time to sports, athletics and basketball. Mordechai was drafted into the IDF at the end of October 1988. He completed his basic training course and the course of the squad commanders and continued on to the final track as a infantry fighter in the brigade, and he loved his military service wherever he went. On Tuesday, November 30, 1989, Mordecai died in a fatal road accident while carrying out his duties and was brought to rest at home. The military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. He was 19 years old. Survived by his parents and two brothers – Shlomo and Yoav. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “As commander of the battalion, I met with him several times during our stay on the Lebanese border … We are soldiers and commanders of the battalion. Shaked, with you. ” In April 1996 his brother Shlomo fell while serving in the police.
