Hassan, Roi
Roi, the youngest son of Etti and Moshe was born on the 19th of Sivan, June 14, 1979 in Ra’anana, a brother of Shahar and Yael. Roi was a handsome young man with infinite patience, behaved with courtesy and respect for all whom he came into contact. Roi enlisted on March 24, 1998 in the Combat Engineering Corps and trained Bbhl”tz 14 (military engineering school). Despite the brief time he had spent in the corps, it had left a strong impression on him. Private Roy Hassan fell in the line of duty on 23 Nissan 5758, April 19, 1998 at nineteen years old. He was buried in the military cemetery in Ra’anana. Survived by his parents, brother and sister.
His commander eulogized him: “Private Roy was one of the most prominent soldiers in the department professionally and socially, volunteered a great deal and contributed greatly to the formation of the department.”
