Harush, Moshe

When he moved to ninth grade, he was looking for a high-level yeshiva high school, and he chose the Or Etzion Yeshiva near Ashkelon. After a year he moved to the Amit high school in Rehovot, in the electronics department, a cheerful and playful boy, full of joy and youthfulness, and he did not “invest” in his studies, but continued to observe the mitzvot. He joined the Bnei Akiva youth movement, first as an apprentice and later as a mentor, and made contact with his students, who became their mentor and friend, and continued to consult with him when they needed good help. When the Gulf War broke out and the sirens sounded, he volunteered to help bring the elderly into the sealed room in the old-age home in Ashdod. At the end of his studies, Moshe sought to enrich his Torah education and prepare himself for a significant enlistment in the IDF and chose to study at the Eli yeshiva in Samaria, a yeshiva that combines religious studies with physical training. In his last years Moshe invested in learning and expanding his knowledge in a variety of fields.
