Dov, son of Yaffa and Mordechai, was born in Jerusalem on November 22, 1953.Even before he was drafted into the IDF, he was trained to serve in a combat unit, so he developed his body and vaccinated himself, and he became involved in gymnastics until he became a strenuous young man who was drafted into the IDF in mid-February 1971 and volunteered for the paratroopers. After completing basic training, he completed a combat paramedics course and a parachuting course and was awarded the paratroopers’ wings. He successfully completed a course for squad commanders in the Paratroopers Brigade and served in an elite unit of the IAF as a squad commander. In his capacity he was promoted to sergeant. Dubi easily overcame the difficulties of training and became an outstanding soldier, who was a personal example of his subordinates. He wrote about his service in the paratroopers: “I was often asked, ‘Why did you volunteer for the paratroopers?’ “Everyone thought I was just one of them, so I wanted to show them,” said the company medic. “That’s the brilliant definition she found in the interview before the reception, everyone says – ‘Challenge, love of the homeland,’ etc. But in retrospect, somewhere deep within me there is meaning to words, a meaning that can not be waived, to reject it casually and to mockingly say, “Zionism …” You, my fellow soldiers, are all devoted to the words on On the back of history, words that say everything: After the paratroopers … “When the Yom Kippur War broke out, Dov’s unit was sent to the Mitla Pass in the Sinai in order to participate in stopping the Egyptians, The Suez Canal. On October 14, 1973, a large Egyptian armored force advanced towards the Mitla Pass. Dov volunteered to go out on a jeep to attack the advancing enemy, and he and his jeeps managed to destroy four enemy tanks and fought valiantly until they ran out of ammunition, and Dubi was brought to eternal rest in the Mount- Herzl in Jerusalem left behind his parentsAnd.
