Hadad, Meir

The only son of Fergie and Rachel. Born in Tunis, Tunisia on November 14, 1947, the family immigrated to Israel in 1955. Meir completed his studies at the Maimonides Elementary School and later attended a religious vocational high school. At school he was active in organizing trips for the purpose of knowledge of the country and its recognition. He had an evening voice and was grateful to his friends for their free time in his prairie song. He was also active in sports. He also did a great deal in Magen David Adom in volunteering for the duty and his desire to help others contributed blood frequently. In August 1965 he was drafted into the IDF and his great love for the army served him until his last day as a sergeant in the Military Police, and on the 24th of Nissan 5727 (24.4.1967) he fell while serving in the Ashdod cemetery.
