HaCohen, Eliyahu


Son of Rachel and Elyakim Getzel. Born in 1880 in Jerusalem. In his youth, he studied Talmud Torah in Jerusalem. As a Turkish citizen, he was drafted into the Turkish army at the outbreak of the First World War, but due to the harsh sanitary conditions in the army camp where he was staying, he fell sick and died. Was brought to rest in the cemetery on the Mount of Olives, leaving a wife, three daughters and a son and four brothers.
