Rahamim, son of Sophia and Houati, was born in 1947 in Tripoli, Libya, and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1952. The family settled in Moshav Awza and he attended elementary school in Moshav. Afterward, he completed his studies at the Religious State School in Even Shmuel. Rahamim grew up and was educated in the spirit of Jewish tradition and faith in the God of Israel, and he observed the mitzvah of honoring father and mother. A few months before his fall, he bought an apartment in Kiryat Gat, where he was about to build his home with his girlfriend. During the Yom Kippur War, his unit participated in the battles of containment and infiltration against the Egyptians in the Sinai. On the 15th of Tishrei 5734 (October 15, 1973), in a battle in the area of ​​the Firdan Bridge, Rahamim was hit and killed. He was laid to rest at the Mount Herzl cemetery in Jerusalem. Survived by his parents, six brothers and three sisters. After his fall, he was promoted to First Sergeant.
