Moshe, son of Leah and Chaim Greenblatt, was born in 1930 in Antwerp, Belgium. With the outbreak of the War of Independence, many Jews came to Israel as part of the overseas volunteers (Machal) and Moshe among them. On October 30, 1948, Moshe fell in battle at a southern position in Jerusalem in the Arnona area.
