Gordon (Friedman), Tzvia


Daughter of Hillel. Born in 1912 in the town of Yizna Lithuania, she studied at the Hebrew Gymnasium in Kovno and was active in the “Hechalutz” branch in her town, and as a young wife with many talents and independence, she had great influence among the local Jewish youth. She moved to Eretz Israel and joined the “Hachalutz” company in Nes Ziona in August 1934. In August 1934 she moved to Kibbutz Yagur and was accepted as a member. On the morning of the 5th of Shevat, March 8, 1938, when she returned home from her guard, she was stabbed and a bullet was thrown from the weapon she was holding, and she was mortally wounded and on her way to the hospital in Haifa, she was brought to rest in the cemetery in Kibbutz Yagur. Was immortalized in “Sefer Yagur”.
