Gomey, Benjamin (“Benny”)


Son of Moshe and Malka. He was born on September 23, 1951 in Petah Tikva. He studied at the Rabbi Maimon religious religious school in Mahane Yehuda and then tried his hand at work. He was a member of the Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed movement and became an assistant instructor in the movement. Even as a child, he was prominent in his leadership qualities, and his name was known for his organizational ability. Among his good qualities are his good Lev and his willingness to help others. Every task he took upon himself, he filled with honors. He loved sports and took part in competitions of his movement. He participated in organized tours and often organized trips and organized parties. He was very sociable and liked to gather all the guys around him. He was cheerful, with a sense of humor and an evening voice. He was drafted into the IDF in August 1969 and was accepted to the Parachuting School, where the spirit of volunteerism always filled him with loyalty and devotion to every task he was entrusted with. Was brought to rest in the cemetery in Petah Tikva.
