Eliyahu (Goldi), son of Sima and Aryeh (Leibl), was born on 18.4.1950 in Vilna (now Russia) and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1959. Eliahu was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early November 1968 and assigned to the Armored Corps, where he completed a basic training course for tank commanders.
