Goldenberg, Y.


During the First World War he lived in Liverpool, England, and at the beginning he enlisted in the Lancashire Clay Regiment. When the 38th Regiment of King’s Rifles was established in Britain, Goldenberg joined it in order to participate in the conquest of Eretz Israel from the Turks. He arrived in Israel with the battalion and fought in the battles in the hills of Nablus and in the battle over the Jordan passes. On the 4th of Tevet 5719 (17.12.1918), he died in the course of his service.
