She remained alone in the difficult days after the war and had to look after her and her little son; But two years later she married Abraham Goldberger and both gave the child their love and educated him in the spirit of his father who fell on the defense of the homeland. In his childhood, Gabriel loved to cuddle the memory of his father, who gave his life for his people and his country. He studied at the Ilanot Elementary School in the Western Carmel and later at the Be’eri School in Neve Sha’anan. After completing his studies, he studied at the vocational school of the Hebrew Technion in Haifa, where he completed his two years in the field of building technology. He belonged to the Scouts movement, Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed, and Hashomer Hatzair. He soon realized that his place was not in the vocational school but in the army.
