Glickman, Hillel
Son of Dov and Rachel, may they rest in peace. He was born on July 25, 1957 in Ramat Gan. He studied at the Hamanhil State School, continued at Ohel Shem High School in Ramat Gan and completed his studies at the Air Force Technical School in Haifa. Hillel was a quiet and modest student and loved by his friends. He completed his studies in elementary school with honors and in the high school of ballet in theoretical subjects. In the Air Force Technical School, he studied communications technicians, and even there he showed excellence and diligence. His commanders greatly appreciated his scholastic ability and dedication. He was a sports fan and devoted much of his leisure to this hobby. He loved literature and read many books. Hillel was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in November 1976 and volunteered to serve in the Signal Corps in a profession he had completed before he was drafted, while he was a disciplined and responsible soldier and fulfilled his duties to the satisfaction of his commanders. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. He was survived by a father and two sisters. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “We knew Hillel very well, he was a quiet soldier, dedicated and responsible for his job, an excellent professional, acceptable and loved by the soldiers and his commanders.
