Ginsberg, John

Son of Avigdor and Ilza. He was born on November 29, 1937 in Kvutzat Yavneh. He graduated from elementary school there. He belonged to the Bnei Akiva movement. His image was a God-fearing and humble figure, complete with himself and his God, a person whose whole being says loyalty to society, to work and to faith. Without an appeal, he accepted the authority of the halachah and observed a very light commandment. Was among the visitors to the Beit Midrash for Shaharit and Arabic, and even aspired to set a time for the Torah. A year before he fell, he expressed his desire to study in yeshiva. Was drafted into the IDF in June 1955. On 10 November 1956, he fell in the line of duty and was brought to rest in the cemetery of his group. His memory was included in the booklet Kislev-Tevet 5717 of “Amudim” (the religious kibbutz newsletter)
