Gerbler, Yitzhak


Son of Frieda and Pesach. He was born in 1902 in Kolomyza, Galicia, Poland and immigrated to Palestine in 1922. In 1941, he joined the British Army in the Engineering Corps, fought in the front of Greece and was taken prisoner by the Germans. 29.1.1945), died at the military hospital in Be’er Ya’akov, was laid to rest in the Nahalat Yitzhak cemetery and left a wife, two daughters and two sons, and his memory was immortalized in “The Book of Volunteerism” and “The Yearbook of Journalists”
