Son of Kreindel and Moshe, was born on 27.5.1928 in a small Hungarian village, Nir Baltak, where he studied in a “cheder” and later in “Yeshiva” until the outbreak of the Second World War. In 1944, He joined the “Bnei Akiva” training program in Kosice, Slovakia, where he also studied in the yeshiva of Rabbi Amiel, and on 28 Elul 5706, he immigrated to Israel on the ship “The Jewish Soldier” He moved to Mikvah Israel, where he studied in the framework of Youth Aliyah, and joined the “Atzma’ut” group and was a member of the nucleus who moved to Barot Yitzhak. It is possible that neither I nor my children will see the realization of the idea. But I want to make a partial contribution – as a simple member. “Menahem fell on the 15th of Tamuz 5707 (July 15, 1948) in the defense of Be’erot Yitzhak, while trying to help a wounded friend. He was buried in the wells of Isaac. His memory was placed on the pages of the booklet “In Memory of the Three,” members of the “Atzmaut” nucleus. On the 11th of Cheshvan 5710 (22.10.1950) he was put to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
