Once he drove for two days without stopping, and when he reached the target, he fell into the car and dived into sleep without feeling the enemy bullets being thrown around. On the 7th of Tishrei 5709 (October 7, 1948) near Tel el-Nagila (east of Ruhama), Egyptian planes appeared above the car, and Aryeh was instructed to descend and sink in the ditch, where he was hit by enemy bullets. Daughters, the youngest of whom was born five months after his death, on the 29th of Iyar 5710 (16.5.1950) was transferred to the eternal rest of the military cemetery at Nahalat Yitzhak.
