Fackel, Gideon

Son of Yehoshua and Frida. He was born on June 12, 1935 in the city of Anastarburg, Germany. He was four years old when the family immigrated to Israel, settled in Givat Ada and worked in agriculture. Graduated from elementary school. He loved books and read a lot, but at the same time helped his parents in the farm and worked in a tractor in the family field. Was conscripted into the IDF in June 1953 and returned to the village and established his own farm, fell in a battle in Sinai on Monday, 6.11.1956, and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
