He was initially assigned as a transport driver at the Nahal Command headquarters and later moved to serve as a driver at the school To the Israel Air Force’s antiaircraft unit. During his service, he served as a driver in a variety of vehicles – a truck, a half-track, and a tractor – and he was hired as a truck driver and continued to serve as a driver in the framework of Egged Air force anti-aircraft systems. At the beginning of December 1993, Benny went to active reserve duty and was sent to the Civil Administration in Gaza. On January 1, 1994, he fell during his service. He was thirty-five years old when he fell. He was laid to rest in the Herzliya military cemetery. He left a wife, three children, a father, a sister – Malka and a brother – Chaim. In his letter of condolence to the bereaved family, Chief of Staff Ehud Barak wrote: “Binyamin, of blessed memory, served in the reserves as a driver at the anti-aircraft center and was described by his friends as a good friend who loves to help and help.”
