Menashe studied at the “HaRoeh” elementary school in Sderot and completed his studies at the religious comprehensive high school, and since his childhood Manasseh has characterized his good qualities, on the one hand tenderness, gentleness, calm and calm and on the other hand In its entirety, to the smallest detail, as was the case when he was drafted into the IDF in mid-November 1983 and assigned to the air force. After basic training, and after completing his course as a helicopter mechanic, he was assigned to this unit as a helicopter mechanic. When he completed his regular service, he volunteered for career service and was trained in airborne mechanics. Based on the assessments of his commanders in his personal file: “A good professional, very dedicated and reliable, he carries out his duties with great responsibility.” In August 1987, he married Maggie, his girlfriend from the time of their joint studies in elementary and high school. About a year later their eldest son Elad was born, and in 1991 their daughter Uriya was born. Menashe was an exemplary husband and father. An older brother, a conscientious and devoted brother, a devoted son to his parents and their employer, a friend who knew mainly to help and give. During his service he contracted a serious illness. The harsh and exhausting treatments he underwent did not exhaust him, and everything that encouraged him came out encouraged by his smile, confidence and faith, and the ending with the words: “With God’s help it will be good.” In September 1993, his third son, Daniel, was born, and Menashe, during his hospitalization, was still able to attend a circumcision party held for his son at the hospital. On the 6th of Tishrei 5754 (October 6, 1993) Menashe fell during his service and was brought to eternal rest in the military section of the Sderot cemetery. He was twenty-eight years old when he fell. He left behind a woman – Meggie, two sons – Elad and Daniel, daughter of Uriya, parents, eight brothers – Zion, Eli, Naftali, Meir, Ilan, Ronen, Gabi, Sharon and three sisters – Rachel, Yafa and Hagit. He received a certificate of appreciation and respect for his service in the career army. In his letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “By profession, a helicopter mechanic, Menashe passed the entire route of a high-ranking mechanic, who served in various capacities, the most important of which was Commander Lane. “Menashe fought the disease with hope and a desire to overcome it, and he continued to grant love and encouragement to the family despite his father’s pain.” His parents and his wife donated a library and Torah lessons to the Brit Yaakov synagogue in Sderot.
