Elkhil, Chaim


Son of Meir and Rachel. He was born in 1937 in the city of Rabat, Morocco, where he graduated from elementary school, immigrated to Israel in 1963 and worked as a printer. Was drafted into the IDF in October 1963. He was a good and disciplined soldier, followed all the instructions and was loved by his comrades and commanders, and on the second day of the battles, on the 27th of Iyar 5727 (June 6, 1967) The second day of the fighting, he fell on the outskirts of Gaza, laid down a wife and three children, was buried in the military cemetery in Bari and was later transferred to the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. His wife, who did not care for him, gave expression to his love and longing for her and his children. To lend a hand to any difficult task, his love for each person and the feeling of friendship for each of them
