Elbaz, Makhlouf

Son of David and Deborah. He was born on January 6, 1934 in the city of Safro, Morocco. He studied at the “Talmud Torah” school and at the “Kol Israel Haverim” school in his hometown and then at a carpentry vocational school in Fez. Before the family immigrated to Israel in 1955, he belonged to the Scouts and Habonim movements in Morocco. He made a living from farm work and carpentry. He fell in the line of duty on the 3rd of Shvat 5717 (5.1.1957) and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
