Efroni, Merav
Daughter of Nava and Moshe. She was born on December 2, 1966 in Ilania (Sejera), the eldest of four girls. After completing her elementary studies, she continued in the Nir Haemek middle school in Afula and at the Ort Emek Harod high school in Kibbutz Ein Harod. After completing her studies, Merav spent a year of service in the “Oded” nucleus. Prior to her enlistment in the IDF, Merav was assigned to a course for service coordinators in a pre-military course and completed her course with a high grade and very good preparation. She completed basic training and was assigned to the Golani Brigade. Merav was sent to serve as a non-commissioned officer in the brigade’s recruits base. After a year at the base of the recruits Merav asked to move to serve in one of the regiment’s battalions, and she was with the battalion everywhere: at battalion headquarters, in Nebi Musa and on Mount Hermon, and when the battalion was in the front line. Her commander, Merav, performed her duties in the best possible way on September 17, 1987. Merav fell in Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem with a severe blood disease and was brought to the military section of the cemetery In Moshav Ram On, she left behind her parents, and three sisters – Hela, Hadar and Mor – in a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, a commander wrote The unit: “During her service Merav underwent several battles over the rights of her soldiers.
